Our cotton is organic

it's good for the environment and your health!

Organic cotton is grown using specific methods outlined in strict charters. It's cultivated in soil that has not been treated with any pesticides or herbicides in at least three years. The absence of chemical pesticides on organic cotton plantations is an immense advantage. The soil is renewed more quickly, and doesn't present any kind of danger to local species.

It is cultivated with natural compost instead of chemical fertilizers and pesticides, and is GMO-free. Organic cotton also takes only half as much water to grow as conventional cotton.

The absence of chemical pesticides also makes the cotton more smooth and supple, and softer to the touch.

During the manufacturing process, the fibers are bleached with hydrogen peroxide, not chlorine. The dyes are made without heavy metals or other carcinogenic substances. All our products are made according to the most stringent quality, ethical and environmental standards.

We have been incredibly lucky to be able to use Dentelle de Calais® in some of our lingerie. We are proud to offer LYEVA women the excellence of a time-honored material woven in France.

Foreign markets have taken a heavy toll on this heritage product, but a few lace manufacturers have survived and continue to produce this iconic lace, an ode to the elegance of the French woman. Dentelle de Calais® defines the LYEVA woman: the elegance of authenticity, and the charm of simplicity.

Modal

Modal is a natural material that's durable and has outstanding properties. It has a very low environmental impact, requiring much less water and energy to produce than most other textiles.

It's often combined with other fibers to create new fabrics with increasingly innovative characteristics. Modal is heat-resistant, absorbs humidity quickly, and always feels light and fresh.

It's smoother than viscose, and has a slightly satiny look that is sometimes compared to silk. It's an extremely soft fabric that's very pleasant to wear.

Recycled polyamide fibers

Being better consumers by purchasing eco-friendly products also means paying careful attention to materials. That's why nearly everything in our collection is made from recycled synthetic fiber knits.

We particularly love the project of producing nylon thread from recycled materials like old fishing nets and other plastic waste to help contain the environmental catastrophe by turning waste problems into solutions. The waste is collected and put to use to make quality textile products, with zero impact on the environment.

This wonderful project results in long-lasting Italian fabric made from recycled fibers that is super resistant, light and elegant, stretchy, soft and breathable... A unique blend of muscular compression and comfort that won't sag or pill. Its innovative structure makes it twice as resistant to chlorine and tanning creams or lotions.
